XTreme EFIS

The XTreme is a compact, multifunction electronic flight information system intended as a main flight instrument in smaller aircraft or as a backup/secondary flight instrument in larger aircraft.

The XTreme, which fits a standard 3 1/8” (80mm) instrument panel hole, contains all the necessary functionality to replace several flight and engine monitoring instruments. All information is displayed in an easy to read format on a high resolution wide viewing angle 4.3” sunlight readable color display.

The XTreme's light weight, small size and high level of functionality makes it an excellent choice for all types of noncertified aircraft.

XTreme EMS

The XTreme-EMS is a compact universal engine monitor. The XTreme-EMS, which fits a standard 3 1/8” (80mm) instrument panel hole, contains all the necessary functionality to replace several engine monitoring instruments.

All information is displayed in an easy to read format on a high resolution wide viewing angle 4.3” 1000cd/m2 sunlight readable color display.

All engine sensors are connected to a RDAC (Remote data acquisition unit) which is normally mounted behind the firewall of the aircraft and then just a simple CAN communication link is necessary to connect the XTreme-EMS to the RDAC.

The XTreme-EMS light weight, small size and high level of functionality makes it an excellent choice for all types of noncertified aircraft.

XTreme-EFIS G1 Binary (Version 1.37)

PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS A BETA/EXPERIMENTAL VERSION. USE THE AUTOPILOT WITH CAUTION.

It is also recommended that all users of the XTreme EFIS upgrade their firmware irrespective if they are using the autopilot feature or not as the latest version contains many bug fixes/features.

We are releasing this version prior to the completion of the documentation. The Xtreme follows the same autopilot menus/settings as MGL Avionics bigger EFIS systems.

Here are some quick pointers:
Once you have setup the autopilot under the autopilot setup
Press the rotary control and access the autopilot preflight to do a test of the servos before flying (This menu item is only shown if you have a bank or pitch servo installed)
Press the 2nd button from the right to access the small autopilot sub menu (Only valid when the EFIS screens are shown). This will display the following:

EXIT BUGS WPT OFF.

EXIT: Exits the autopilot submenu,
BUGS: Press bugs to engage and instruct the autopilot to fly to the Altitiude and heading bug. The bugs can be adjusted as desired
WPT: (Shown if a waypoint has been selected) will instruct the autopilot to fly to the selected waypoint using the current altitude.
On/OFF: to turn the autopilot on/off

If the autopilot is engaged then a red AP will appear in the upper left corner of the EFIS displays
