Re: Using iEfis Lite as GPS source for Trig TT22

Managed to get feedback from Trig Support - they were very helpful. Pity not same level of assistance from MGL:

- Connect TX from RS-232 on the MGL Efis to GPS on the Trig TT22
- Connect GND between Efis and Trig
- On the Trig set the GPS source to be NMEA and the certification level to uncertified ...

Re: Using iEfis Lite as GPS source for Trig TT22

Great thanks. From what I've been told it's sufficient: South Africa seems to require RTCA DO-260A standard and from my very basic research it seems that this standard is based on RTCA DO-229D - which the iEfis lite meets. But I'll do some investigation as we know where assumptions can land you ...

Using iEfis Lite as GPS source for Trig TT22

Apologies for asking about what is probably a routine operation for most on this forum...

How do I use the iEfis lite as a GPS source for my Trig TT22? I have a head unit for the transponder so the Trig interface cable doesn't sound like the right solution.
Pin 5 on the TT22 seems to be GPS IN ...

Re: IEFIS.REC File Format?

The file format is simple: It is exactly the same data as sent through the RS232 backbox data feed (if enabled). The data is in sectors of 512 bytes each (like a disk). The first four bytes is a time stamp (applied at every sector start) and the remaining 508 bytes is the data. You can use the ...

Re: IEFIS.REC File Format?

Trying to get my enigma.rec file uploaded to Savvy. Might have found a bug on their website .... they're working on it. Do you have the mapping names for the enigma.rec? I'm anal about not reinventing the wheel!!!

Did you come right - I just tried the same and it returned an ERROR.
Cheers ...

SD Cloning fails

Hi

I’ve tried cloning my G3 onto an SD card, and after running for around 15 mins it fails.

The last write update says: cloned 243320 clusters - 15.207G
It then fails with: Clone failed. Read or write error.

I'm writing to a 32GB SD card that I had previously formatted as FAT32

Any thoughts ...

Reading IEFISBB.DAT File

Hi
I copied the internal flight data to an SD card - assume this is the IEFISBB.DAT file. When I use the "import" function in BlackBox viewer, it tells me 7 flights imported, but I then can't seem to select a flight or show any parameters. Is BB View just designed to handle REC files?
Thanks
Andrew
