Airtalk to PC Cable Interface

This cable is used for the direct connection between your computer (or notebook computer) to your Stratomaster Flight, Stratomaster Extreme or Stratomaster Ultra instrument.

This cable can be used for the download of the instruments flight log or it can be used to upload new software into your instrument.

Note: This cable is included in the flight log download key package.

USB to Airtalk interface

USB to Airtalk interface. This small device converts a PC USB host port to USB. Can be used with Flightlog program, Ultra, Extreme and Flight instruments (not required for Enigma unless for special applications).

Can also be used for airtalk firmware update programs (note: only newer update programs can use USB).

USB to Airtalk drivers for PC (Windows 2000 and later only) (ZIP file)

The USB drivers for this interface are not included with the USB converter. They must be downloaded here and installed on your PC. Unpack the contents of the ZIP file into a folder on your PC, then execute the program "preinstaller.exe" that is included in the ZIP file. After this, connect the USB converter and follow the normal Windows USB device installation. Details of this in the installation document.

Flight Log Download Key

This unit is used to transfer your instruments flight log details into our Flight log program.

It can store the full flight log up to a maximum of 240 flights.

All you have to do is every now and then connect the key to your instrument to update any new flights you have done since the last time the key was connected.

Once the data has been downloaded into the key it can then be connected and transferred to the Flight log program running on the PC.

Note:

Airtalk to PC interface cable included.

Flight log software not included - It can be downloaded here.

10 000uF Electrolytic Capacitor

This 10 000uF electrolytic capacitor is an inexpensive and useful addition to your aircrafts power supply. It can significantly reduce noise signals on your power supply that may be affecting your VHF radio such as ignition noise or rectifier/regulator noise artifacts.

Note: the capacitor must be installed as close as possible to the noise source with very short leads for maximum effect.

Transorb Surge Protector

This device is used for the effective overvoltage protection of sensitive electronic equipment on your aircraft.

Voltages of several thousand volts can be measured in your aircraft when operating devices such as electrical motors, starter motors or solenoids. The surge protector clamps these voltages to an acceptable level suitable for electronic equipment.

Note: Not fitting such a device has been responsible for much damage to radios and other electronic equipment on aircraft.

EMI Interference Suppressor

If you are experiencing any noise problems on your intercom/radio system or your avionics behaves differently when you press the PTT button, maybe you should consider the use of our EMI Interference Suppressor. This device is specifically designed to suppress unwanted or stray RF generated by a VHF air band radio.

This device needs to be installed on every cable assembly to and from the avionics/intercom system, about +-5cm from the end of the cable assembly. Just one loop around the EMI interference suppressor is required.

Uses include:

  • The prevention of RF feedback from the aircrafts VHF radio to the intercom system.
  • The suppression of RF interference to and from avionics.
